FAQ

Q: Is there a limit to the number of letters I can send to each address?

A: No! There is no limit to the joy you can bring to each facility. This is unlimited!

Q: Are we allowed to send forms of artwork, such as photos, embroidery, paintings, etc.?

A: You are permitted to send anything at your will as long as it is appropriate, positive, and does not give Writings of Warmth a false representation.

Q: How many service hours per letter?

A: Hours are based off of the work you do, and the work is based off each letter, so when you are documenting and sending your service hours ensure that you have a picture or a couple pictures of all or most of your work, so we can figure out hours from there. The hour standard will be one hour per letter sent and mailed. If you would prefer, you can time your volunteering daily and we can do hours that way, but you still need pictures of your letters.

Q: Can the letters be virtually sent?

A: This will be specified when sending the addresses to the volunteers through our email, but if it is not said, then they will not accept e-greetings. Unfortunately many facilities do not have personal emails.

Q: How will service hours be confirmed?

A: Service hours will be confirmed using pictures. We will confirm through email that you had spent the hours that you have spent on this organization, otherwise you will not receive hours.

Q: When do i send these pictures of proof and ask for my hours?

A: Send these pictures once you are DONE with our program, and would like to request your service hour confirmation.

Q: What kind of letters can we send?

A: Any kind! Letters of paragraphs, cards with cute sayings, drawings, or any other art or thing as long as it is professional and polite.

Q: What times do we need to volunteer?

A: Writings of Warmth is extremely flexible, you can make letters at your discretion in the comfort of your own home.

Q: How often are addresses emailed to us?

A: We send out a new address every two weeks, but it is completely okay to keep sending mail to the same address as long as it is appropriate.
